Idle changes...
My car used to idle at about 900 rpm. When I put the scanner on it once upon a time I remember it saying 900 rpm. For the last few days it has been idling at about 700 rpm. When it is at medium temerature (not fully warmed up, not cold) it stalls. Is this a cold start injector related problem? I havn't noticed a large difference in fuel economy. Maybe the IAC became unstuck? Anybody have any experience? Thanks, tom

The reason it idled at 900 with the scanner hooked is probably because when the 10k ohm resistor is put across terminals A&B of the ALDL the engine is commanded to 1k rpm.
If the car starts (without prolonged cranking) when it is cold you can rule out the cold start injector.
How long since your last tune up? If it is less than a year, the next thing to look at is the idle passages in the throttle body, they get coked up and will cause idle issues. Also check the IAC for coking too and clean it off.
