I use Kelly Chargers. I have the Z rated but you can get a set of S rated for around 100 dollars a tire. I used to have s rated kelly on my car, they were good until they became vapor in the atmosphere.

399 at SLP not including shipping. I'd imagine 30-40 more. Looking at tirerack.com, they didn't receive the greatest reviews from people when asked if they would buy again.

I'm looking at the Yokohama intermediates for 84 a piece. Plenty of dry traction and only 360 shipped.

I recently put on a set of Eagle GT IIs my 83 TA (235-60-15). A lot of people say they're not that great but so far they seem OK to me.

In dry weather during hard cornering you can hear tyre when it reaches the point where it's about to let go. That's useful. However, there's also a sort of strange feeling when the car begins to carve the corner - like a 4-wheel stearing input or something but then it catches and grips fairly good. That could just due to worn-out suspension parts though.

A couple of days I was out in some really heavy rain - lots of standing water and couldn't see a dam thing. Traction was good at 50-60 mph - no serious aquaplanning (if that's how you spell it)

Anyway the point is that I'm still alive.

I was not impressed with the Firehawk SH30's that I had on my car before, so I went with the BFG Comp T/A VR/4's. So far they've been pretty good, but they were probably out of your price range (I can't remember what I paid for them like a month ago! LOL)

Added dual elec fans.
145 MPH IROC Speedo
Building 430 HP 350 (ZZ430)
using primarily GMPP parts.
Short block sitting on a stand. (Man, those Fast-Burn heads look good, (just sitting there doing nothing!LOL))

Ive got a set of Cooper Cobras ($750-1000 retail set) and they hug the road excellent. Im suprised how much wear and tear they're designed to take. My friend Jeff has a pair of Firestone soemthings (for his Ford Ranger) and he burns out a lot, and they are now "homemade slicks" because the only tread is on the corners. Its crazy.

I've heard nothing but praise about the potenza RE730. thats a great tire.

You might want to look into BFG tires though, when you buy any four H,V, ot Z rated tires you get a free GTECH PRO. Im buying G-force TA ZR's tommoroww...
