quick question about carb cleaner

Can you just spray carb cleaner in your intake and not have to worry about anything (305 TPI). Or do you have to pull off the plenum and then make sure that it is dry when you put it back on.

I pulled the plenum once and I did not get to clean all of the carbon off before I put it on.

Thanks,
Jesse

oldblue.. as far as i know you can spray the carb cleaner directly down the throat with the engine running...the carb cleaner is combustible so it will basically dissolve the deposits and reburn them cleaning your Plenum... There is a product from 3M called Throttle Plate Cleaner that comes in a trigger aerosol can with an extension tube to get right in... Just open the throttle plate and spray it in to clean it up nice and good..
