car won't start
alright, well, it's not my car, it's my friend's car.. but, when you turn the key, it tries to start, but won't actually start.. I don't think it's the battery or alternator.. it seems to get full electrical power.. the starter is brand new and works fine.. could it be the distributor? I don't know if it's ever been replaced or tuned up.. any ideas?
(Vader, yes, it's Shannon's car again. hehe)

Fuel, spark, compression.... which one's missing?
Spray some starting fluid in the intake and see if it will try to start; if not, it's spark.

ok.. I went to look at the car, it started right up.. my friend and I put a timing light on a couple of the spark plug wires. it was flashing very irregularly, which would probably explain the rough idle.. but wouldn't that mean the rotor is bad? anything else to look for?
