How do I get the last two spark plugs out?

My car wasn't running on all 8 cylinders so I deciced it was time to change all the plugs and wires. So far I've done 6 (Fixed the problem), but I still have one left on each side (the ones towards the trans). My question is how do i get to them? under the car? take off the wheel?
for those that are wondering
Plug wires: Accel Super Stocks
Plugs: AC delco (returned split fires, they are junk)

You can cut down a spark plug socket to fit in there. You will have to use a wrench with it because the tip of the plug will protrude out the top.

Even with my small stature (115 lbs) [read small hands/arms] I cannot get a ratchet to reach those two rear sparkplugs from the top. I can almost get the #8 from above.

If I removed the A.I.R system and associated plumbing (there's a tech article about it on this web site I think at www.thirdgen.org/tech/serpentine.html ) I think I could then access them from above. But until then, I have to jack up the car and remove them from the bottom. The #8 will then have easy access, but the #7 will still be somewhat difficult to remove. No removal of the wheels are necessary.

I had to jack up the front of my camaro to get the last one on the drivers side and all of the ones on the passenger side. It was alot easier that way.

I can get to all of the plugs from the top, and I don't have "slim" arms at all. The number 7 and 8 plugs are a bi*ch, but I've been able to get my arm down there in between the air manifold and the wheel well and change them with a normal ratchet handle and sparkplug socket. There is a nice sheet metal screw sticking thru the firewall on the drivers side that is positioned perfectly to bite me right on the middle knuckle, hit it every time. I've never tried it from underneath.

Now the back bank on the 3400 in my mom solhouette, those are impossible plugs to get at. Had to get my skinny brother to get them.

Keep trying, they can be changed.

I found it really easy to get to all of the sparkplugs but two from the bottom.

The other two were the only ones I could get to from the top. heh.

the starter terminals are HOT so you may want to disconect the battery to prevent a chance of shorts

after doing enough of these cars i've gotten it down mostly. able without rushing to do them in about 20 to 25 minutes. passenger side is rough no matter what. rachet goes under the manifold with no extension on all. back one requires takin the line off for the heat riser valve. driver side front two are just rachet and socket under the manifold. for the one next to the oxygen sensor i use the spark plug socket and a socket that fits over the hex end of it. that leaves just enough extension to get the ratchet in there with them damn brake lines there. the driver side back one just requires laying under the car with it jacked up a bit. another tip is to use an old spark plug boot to start the threads on them. kinda makes it a bit longer with a nice grip.

When you get ready to pull the #8 gap the new plug ahead of time. Remove the bolts on the smog pump switching valve bracket so you can push it towards the motor to get it out of the way. Reach/jam/shove your arm back there to get to #8. When you get it out, immediately grab the replacement and push/jam/shove your arm back in there to you get to the same (already) sore spots the AIR lines put in the inside of your forearm and you can hit the #8 spark plug hole perfectly with the replacement plug. Works for me.

How about using a deep 60* offset box end wrench? If you need, grind it down a little more.

don't worry guys I got them out really easy, I just jacked up the car and twenty minutes later (car was hot and I kept burning myself)
I was done. a lot easier than replacing my starter and that was easy.
