custom cold/ram air cause problems?
hi ive been out of the loope for a while so sorry for any errors. I got a custom cold/ram air where I used the cooling system air intake (the place where your foglights are) and connected them to my engines air intake (using part of an inertube and some hose clamps) now my problem: ever since then my car runs at higher RPM's at slower speeds example before 60mph was at 1500 now 2100. what could I do to fix this, without taking the ram air out. I have a stock MAFS = mass air flow sensor/ K&N filters. most of the 1987 I-ROC is stock there is only about a dozen upgrades.

Umm I could be wrong, but that doesnt sound like it's the intake that's the problem. Sounds like the torque converter is doing something strange.
Although I know that driving in cold or rainy weather with your ram air hooked up is a bad thing. I know. So if you're doing that, try disconnecting it when it's overly cold.
But other than that, TO me it really doesnt sound like the intake would be the problem.
