Up to what HP can the puny 48mm throttle bodie on TPI's hold.

I had my stock 48mm throttle bodie ported to 52mm, and before i even started the motor, i sold it to this guy who wanted it bad, for $200.00 plus his stock 48mm throttle bodie. As u can see, the 305 isnt stock, so my question is can i use the stock 48mm throttle bodie on the modded 305 TPI or should i go with a 52mm. I thought about sending it to TPIS or getting a brand new aftermarket TB. How much HP can the 48mm throttle bodie support. Im guessing the motor should be making 300-330 hp at flywheel. ANy suggestions or ideas.

That same 48mm TB is what they use on the 510HP Ram Jet 502. That should be enough for a 305.

Well, when you get that 12lbs of boost i would suggest the bigger throttle body. But as it is now, i would say the bigger throttle body's gains compared to the amount of money you'll have to spend wouldn't be worth the investment until you get boosted.

------------------

-Flowmaster Catback
-Performance Resource Chip
-700R4 (Rebuilt) Too much done to actually list
-K&N Airfilters
-Ported Plenum
-2.77 Gears (not much to brag about but eh, its there)
-MSD 8.5 mm plug wires
-Gutted cat

-Gutted Air Boxes

Without knowing your cam specs it's hrd to say, but you definitely won't see a big gain by swapping at this point no matter what. You have to decide if it's worth maybe a tenth or two for the money.

btw, might want to trim that sig, it's impossible to read. I went over it twice looking for mention of the cam, only to finally see the part about accel cam w/ no specs. At least cut out all the dumb **** like air foil, 19lb injectors (stock rating who cares what brand), timing chain (again, who cares what brand) wires/plugs/cap/rotor. You might have a pretty potent combo, but that sig makes you sound like the typical moron guy who thinks M1 and zaino are mods.

Maybe something like:
92 camaro , T5 , Zoom clutch
310c.i all forged for N2O , ported vette heads
Edel. Base, SLP runners, Comp RRs, accel cam (211/219, .500/.500)
Edel. headers, fromaster exhaust, and all the little stuff

in progress: N2O and the fuel system to match

That way you only list the stuff that people care about, and when you're looking for advice, we can figure out what you have without getting a headache.
...ed

ps. Didn't mean to single you out, i'm just bored killing my last few minutes at work, and instead of just saying your sig is hrad to read i figured i'd show you a better way.

Don't Forget to List the Tb Bypass Tho.

if properly bypassed, that 48mm throttle body can support plenty of airflow
