There have been a few questionable posts recently, most notably, the aluminum runners getting imploded by manifold vacuum, courtesy of TravisZ.

New engine SHOULD = New plugs. Just my opinion!
New engine because of digesting water? Pulling the plugs to dry out the cylinders, and changing the oil will usually get it back going. I've seen a few hydo-lock from fuel (bad injector, pressure regulator, etc...) and they usually survive.

If its already hydrolocked though, then they rods are bent. No saving that motor. Block maybe, and maybe some of the top end, but its still gotta come out.
