Custom airbox...any interest?
My brother-in law works with sheetmetal and can me anything I want for for next to nothing. I have been looking for, for some time now, an airbox that extends to right behind the fog-lights and gives a ram-air effect. Does anyone currently make one of these? This one will fasten to the factory air intake and won't be visible unless you take off the air cleaner assembly. I live in the Indiana area and would like to get some-who would like to be a guinea pig for this project. I don't have a TPI myself, but have the TBI, so I need someone in the Indianapolis area so that I can get the measurements. This will also work for 3rd gen fuel injected V6's as well. I will post pics when I get a chance. I am also working on a custom air intake for TBI's too, so I'll keep everyone posted.

Thats a good idea. But I've seen pictures of a custom induction that moves the battery to the trunk area and routes the air intake to the right side thru the hole in the inner fender. The idea of making come in from the front is good, but thats where most of the air for cooling the radiator comes from. If I was anywhere near you I would be willing to experiment though.
