vacume lines

vacume lines
The vacume lines on my car are pretty old and brittle and I would like to replace them before they start causing problems. My question is, can you buy a vacume line kit or something? They don't all look the same size so what do you do. Unplug one, run down to autozone, buy line, come back and install? all one at a time? I'm afraid if I unhook all of them i'll never get it back together right. Any suggestions on how I should go about doing this would be great. BTW, it's an 86 z28 with 305 tpi.

Go to autozone and say " I need like 10 feet of Vac line "
They will charge you an exhorberant amount per foot for the stuff, and then go home, get a pair of scissors, and start replacing.
Size dosent matter tooo Much, the only problems you could run into are with those funny plastic lines the factory has to the AIR pump and the EGR control deal, And with the ECS.
but those lines running to the ECS arent vac lines, they are fuel bowl vent lines, so ask for 4 feet or so of 3/8 line while your there as well.
The short of it, It isnt that precise, if it fits on the nipple, it will work.

Whoops, Color me Retarded.
TPI isnt likely to have a Fuel Bowl, Or corresponding vent lines.
But the principal is still the Same.

Try that clear urthane tubing. It won't dryrot. ACE hardware stores have it cheap, pet stores have the same stuff but it's more expensive.
