Whats the difference between a dynojet and a chassis dyno?

Whats the difference between a dynojet and a chassis dyno?

Arent they the same thing??? Does anyone know where a chassis dyno in virginia is(hampton roads)? How much does one cost (the dyno itself)?

I belive Dynojet is a company that makes chassis dyno's.

They probably make engine dyno's too.

prior to dynojet, all dynos used some type of break to simulate load. Most were water brakes. A dynojet uses two 1600 pound rollers that are computer monitored for rotation rates. The computer can tell how fast the rollers are accelerating and there for can priovide a road hp measure. Most dynojets are managed on an hourly basis. Normally about 70 bucks for 1 hour and in most cases you can get three pulls.
