retrofitting rear deforster and trunk release in a car that doesn't have it

I've been searching and I'm not comming up with anything...

I have a 1986 Firebird S/E. It's got a weird option package. I have a lot of the power options such as p/w and p/l as well as power hatch pull-down, but no rear defrost and no remote hatch release.

In my travels to the yards recently, I brought home a rear hatch glass from a 1982 Camaro and an instrument cluster w/120mph speedo from a 1987 Trans Am w/tbi. It has the switches for rear defrost and remote release, and as much of the wiring as I could possibly get.

My questions are 1.) the 86 S/E has the same colored wires in place that go to a white plug in the dash... does this mean I just need to cut and splice to get the rear glass to work?

2.) the hatch motor was gone in the T/A but I got a release solenoid from a FWD oldsmobile... will this bolt on to my existing hatch motor? Is the release wiring in place too?

Thanks in advance for the help.
