Valvesprings! CompCams 987-16?
Okay, I'm not really concerned with getting new springs for my car as I'm only going to put an LT1 cam into it, but nevertheless if I find a good deal, I may be interested. Will the CompCams 987-16 springs work on stock heads without getting the spring seats machined for extra width?

Your factory spring pocket is 1.26" in diameter. Anything bigger and the pockets need enlarging.

the 981,s will work fine with that cam and are stock dia. the 987's will require enlarging the spring pockets.
