Where in the engine compartment is the horn located? The guy I bought my car from said that the horn worked, the button was just messed up, but now I can't find the horn on the car :P Pictures would be great

Check in the drivers side fender. It's right behind the MSD box in the pic below, mounted to the other side of the sheet metal the MDS is.

Could be the relay. Get in the car with nothing on and close the doors. you should hear a clicking from under the dash when you push the button. If not, it is either the button, or the relay. There are potentially other things that could be wrong, but we'll leave it at this until you check things out!

Good Luck!

Working on:
'84 Z28 LG4 305 with 200,000 original miles!
Added dual elec fans.
145 MPH IROC Speedo
Building 430 HP 350 (ZZ430)
using primarily GMPP parts.
Short block sitting on a stand. (Man, those Fast-Burn heads sitting on it look good!)

Starting to look like the Kicker poster child!

the button is practically gone from the steering wheel. the guy welded or something on the back of it, i'm not sure why. he showed it to me before I bought the car.

I'd head for the salvage yard and pick up a horn button assembly, or if it is still available, from your local GM dealership. Then if it doesn't work, you can troubleshoot it.
