Oil pressure sending unit?/Auto meter

I was wondering where everyone is putting the after market elect. oil sending units in thier blocks?? It wont fit in the back without a bunch of elbows and crap, so I was wondering if I could tee off the passage above the oil filter where the stock sending unit is?? Would I get a proper reading on my gauges like that?? Sorry for all of the questions but I want this gauge to run since I already paid for it.

Yes that will work.

There's also a place just above the timing cover, to the dirver's side of top center.
