How do I size a fuel pump?

OK I got ah thinking from another forum on this topic and since im gonna be building a L98 to replace my LO3 I'd like to know how would I size for a fuel pump? Is it just what the the recomended psi for the fuel delivery setup (carb,TPI and so on) but how would I then figure fot the gph rating of a pump? The specific question that I got my attention is

how many gallons per hour I need out of a fuel pump for a 375-410 hp (approximate) engine. I'm running a mechanical pump on my 355 small block chevy.I recently found out a stocker won't cut it (just like I figured) and I got a hold of a Holley mechanical one that flows 80 GPH that's brand new for free.I don't even know what a stock one flows GPH wise
