Isopropyl Alcohol in my fuel tank? please help

Will this help me pass my emissions test? What other things can I do to increase my odds?
Should I reconnect my Air pump to my exhaust (directly??, I don't have the diverter valve)
but the port from the cat is in the engine bay (plugged with a cork). Can I just plug the pump into this unit???
Also, I've got a 160 Fan switch w/thermo with dual fan setup, can I just unplug the 'driver's side' fan since the ECM turn on the 'passenger side' fan when the engine's temp gets realy hot?

The alcohol stuff (I used Dry Gas, available at Walmart) helped me a bit, but not alot. I did back to back testing and it dropped my HC level from like 150 down to 118, and my CO level from 1.95% to about 1.83% (still failing). The CO change may have just been variation as that is very close. The HC was definitely affected though. I had to change my cat to pass the CO though, it and everything else dropped to a mere fraction of the allowed levels after the Catco Cat...

BTW, the cat that was making me fail was only a year old (also a catco cat), it passed easily when it was new. I also did not have the air tube stuff hooked up to it since it was installed. I believe that and the combination of running slightly rich all year killed the cat. I hope yours is not dead as well or else there is no way you'll pass (assuming you have the dyno emissions test that is)

Yup, I've got the dyno emissions as well. My cat has about 3000 Miles on it. (Dynomax unit). So with your new CAT and no AIR hooked up you managed to pass?..cool, what thermo do you run? fan switch?
Thanks

Here's something you could do. Find a person who has an inspection sticker, scan it, change all the info to your car and the put it in your windshield. Cops will not look for the all the numbers to match up(yakes too much time in NY). All they care about is that you have the color coded sticker so they know you paid your $50 for the inspection.

That wouldn't work in VA pookey, here the results of your inspection/emmisions are transmitted to DMV...if you fail, you can't re-register.

Yeah, I passed with just the new cat, no air tube hookup, no smog pump, no EGR, nothing emissions related on the car at all except the Cat. I posted the allowable numbers for my test in the other emissions post that is floating around here. Your particular test may have lower allowables... I run a 160 thermo, turned the fans off for the testing, but I had them set up a large fan aimed at the front of the car to at least keep a little air flowing like the car was moving just a little... Temp never went over 180-190ish I guess, hotter would have been better...
