New Motor Troubles

I just got my 383 in and running after being rebuilt and topped off with some goodies but we ar having some problems. When you first start it if it hasn't been running for a day or longer, you have to crank it for about 15-25 seconds and keep pumping the pedal to get it to start and then it won't sit there and idle by itself until it gets warmed up. After it is warmed up though you can just go out and hit the key.

Secondly, when you do start it the thing revs up to like 3000 RPM and then stays there for a minute and then comes down to a 1000. I know I have a vacume leak somewhere so could this cause it to do this?

Thirdly, Once it gets warmed up and what not it sits there and sounds good, the throttle is very snappy and everything. But when I take it out on the road for test drive, you can stomp on the gas and it hesitates and then statrts to speed up slowly. It almost acts like it is bogged down or something.

Fourthly, my brakes have no boost (they are hard as a rock!!!!) and the fluid is full and there are no leaks. Could this be because of the vacume leak because once in a great while, it will have normal brakes until I push the pedal again, then it goes back to hard.

Lastly, the car seems to be running much hotter than it ever did. It is just shy of 220 and before it was nowheres close to that.

Any help??????

Everything you described will be caused by a vacuum leak. Fix that first, you can't diagnose any other problems without fixing that.
