Why cannot I get my car up on jackstands?
I put stands under the A-arms, now when I jack up the rear the stands start to lean backwards. That cannot be a good thing. Am I doing somthing wrong?
I cannot try the sway bar bushings because I have greese zerks. Even if I removed them I don't think its a great idea to put stands under somthing covered in grease.

Are the wheels on your floorjack turning freely? They need to so the jack moves and not the car. Check them Out!

Are you on an incline? How high are you setting the stands? Try doing the rear first with the front wheels chocked.

might try not lifting it as high all at once. my garage floor hads a drain and is slooped to the drain. makes jacking up a car a real treat every time i do it.

The wheels turn freely, I finally got it up alright, but I couldn't get it as high as I want. I was probably about 13in on the front stands, 12 on the rear any higher and the other ones poped out. Even if I raised them a bit at a time and ran back and forth. I got everything done alright, just would have made life a little easier with those extra few inchs.

Fun aside, you need to be VERY careful in jacking and standing any vehicle. You can jack and position the stands and chocks as many times as you want until you're sure it's safe, but you are only allowed one mistake. The goal is to NEVER make that mistake, so take as many precautions as you feel safe necessary to secure the vehicle before you even think of getting under it. Everyone wants to see you back in here so we can have fun with misquoting you some more.
