Ignition problem....need some help!
im having trouble starting my 84 TA 305 HO 4bbl....
i checked the plugs and im getting little or no spark when turning over.....i changed all the plugs and still the same result....
some ppl tell me its the coil, some say its the ignition control modual???
the wires seem ok so i dont think thats the problem.....so any suggestions????
any help would be great

There's yet another part it could be, which is the pickup coil in the distributor.
You can get the module tested at alot of parts stores, like Auto Zone and such. They might be able to check the coil as well. If both of those are good, then it's probably the pickup coil.
Try a couple of rela simple things before you go swapping parts though. First, when it's cranking, does the tach indicate something? 200 RPM or whatever? If it does, then yourproblem is on the high voltage side of the system - cap, rotor, wires, maybe the coil. If it doesn't indicate anything, then it's probably on the primary side - pickup, module, maybe the coil. See if the car runs with the tach wire disconnected from the distributor; a bad tach or tach filter can keep it from having spark. Also check for good solid 12V at the big pink wire to the distributor.
