to high oil pressure ???possible???
hi i had a 305 stock before.id died 3 time and i made it rebuilted 3 time.and i change my oil gage because it was always on top. i buy a mecanical gage and still does the same thing when i push the gas the pressure raise to the top why?? normale??

It's a cam driven mechanical oil pump, so as RPM's increase the oil pressure will increase as well.
Excessive oil pressure would be around 80psi or above. It will lead to bearing erosion and an early end to your engines life. What kind of pressure does your mechanical gauge read?
