Car: 1988 camaro/1992 camaro
Engine: 350
Transmission: 700 r-4
car wont idle runs extremely rough lots of gas vapors flying out of tbi bores
ok got a problem here car will barely start when it does i have to give it little gas to keep running.it runs very rough sputtering and backfiring,smoking.it seems like to much fuel spraying out of injectors on tbi.the only trouble code im getting is temp sensor.i broke temp sensor on accident would this cause my problem.distibutor is brand new as is coil,plugs,wires,module,and pick up coil.couldnt tell what color smoke was,it was very late at the time exhaust is off and neighbors probally thinking about callin the po po on me .try again tommorrow.any help would be greatly appreciated :hail: no egr was deleted before i got car.

Did this start happening after you did work to the car or changed something? If you just put on a new distributor, wires, etc. and now it won't start, the wires are in the wrong firing order which is causing the misfire/backfire/sputtering.

rocker nuts still pretty loose wanted car running for valve lash so much for that ideal will have to check plug wires again doh.oil is kinda milky to ?

Man if you got chocolate milk for oil that screams one thing, "ANTIFREEZE!!!". Check it out. maybe a head gasket, a cracked head, a cracked block, or something a lot simpler, no matter what if the oil is milky, you need something.

Look carefully at your temp sender, it might be a bad connection. This will cause the computer to ad massive fuel because it thinks the car is running totally cold.
Also, change your oil. You probably dribbled a bunch of coolant from the water pump holes down into the oilpan when you had the timing chain cover off.
