Looking for a wire set with all 90* boots
I am looking for a wire set with all 90* boots, however i don't want to have to cut and crimp wires. I remember awhile back reading that some, i believe it was suburbans or gmc trucks, come with all 90* boots does anybody know what trucks did and what i will need to ask for to get a set of all 90* boot wires.

When I was looking for all 90* boots, I couldn't find them anywhere. The only way I was able to get them was to get the Taylor Superstock wires and cut them to length and put the boots on myself. That was a real PITA, so if you are able to find them already made, make sure and let us know. I don't want to have to make my own wires again, it sucked.

I just used Summit 8mm wires. The cutting to length isn't that hard, and is one of the best ways to keep them neat. They even came with the crimping tool.
I used Made 4 U looms as well. Much cleaner than the stock routing/clamps.

Cut, put on boot, crimp. A little dielectric grease makes the boots slip on much easier (I keep a tube in the toolbox for use in every tune-up).

I use the Taylor Spiro-Pro wires with 90° boots. Very very easy to assemble. Cut, strip, crimp, put silicone grease on, slide into boot..... much easier to do it this way than to put the boot on first and then crimp. Very painless and easy in fact.

MSD also makes a set of all 90* boots. The wires are very long though for some of the cylinders. It is not the neatest set, but that is what you get for universal applications.

The Bosch 8mm wires for our cars come mostly 90* except for two of them, just like the stock wires, and come pre-assembled. They're sold at AutoZone and the like. Only problem with them, as Shifty said, a couple of the wires are too long (cylinders 2 and 4).
Why are you looking to go 90* anyhow? I've always found them to be not quite as good to work with as the straight boots.

Straights wouldn't fit around the primaries of most of my cylinders on the Camaro.
All of the wires on the 396 are straight boots.

Go to Summit's website and look at the Taylors. I bought a set from them with all 90* boots, but I an't remember which one it was. I want to say it was a TPI Corvette set. Anyway you can select each set and it will tell you what boots it comes with in the description detail window. The only hitch in my set was it didn't come with a coil wire, but I had a new Taylor from a previous install on my old T/A that didn't need the coil wire. I just got tired of looking and bought the first set of all 90 boots I saw.

I go back to buying a DIY set, measuring them up and cutting/crimping them yourself. I bought a set of Accel Super Stock 8mm wires off of e-bay for a total of 28 bux including shipping. It only took me about 45 minutes to measure them up, cut them, crimp them and put the boots on.
The set I bought came with both standard and HEI style boots for the distributor, the standard style said to slide the wire through the boot, then crimp it. The HEI style said to crimp the wire, grease the connector and wire up with silicone grease and slide it in the boot, this was the hardest part, but I found out if you grip the connector right where you crimped it with a pair of needle nose pliers and pushed it into the boot, it went pretty easily. Just grease them up good!
Mine are all 90* boots also, but I have stock exhaust manifolds for now, I am hoping the work out good with the headers that I'm putting on soon.

MSD makes 90 degree boots, and they're awsome for the price, only 48 bux canadian. get yourself a nice wire loom set to properly keep the wires away from heat and they will rule! I got them on my malibu and they made a differnce

Check out Jegs and Summit. You should find custom fit sets with 90* boots from both MSD and Taylor, probably others too.

if you're just going to your local parts store. order for a 91 suburban 5.7L 2WD truck. it will be 8mm AC Delco wires, in all 90' boots. I don't know about other manufacturers but the AC Delco wires at my local autozone, murray's, etc. were 8mm wires.
