Tire wobble

I just rebuilt the front end of my 91 FB. Now before I did this, anytime I locked my brakes up, the front tires would wobble very bad until I slowed down to like under 20. I thought that rebuilding the front end would fix this, but it didnt. Can anyone tell me what the problem is. I didnt replace my center link or pitman arm, they both seemed fine. Could it6 be in the steering box, or maybe the rag joint?

Could be just about anything you didn't replace.

Look at the rag joint, have someone move the steering wheel back and forth just a couple of inches to "take up the slack" while you look at the steering linkage.

This really needs to be done while there is a load on the front end so you need to have the car on ramps so the front tires are not hanging.

Rotors being warped would do the same thing.

I was thinking warped rotors. Is there much play in your steering? If not, its probably the rotors.

I would still check them out. Rotors can warp at any time. I have seen them go in as little as a month.

I have also had the misfortune of getting bad ones out of the box from the store. That was not a fun day...

It is your centerlink. Last summer I had the same exact problem. I replaced the pitman arm too. The problem didn't get better untill I replaced the center link. Replace the center link. It didn't take me more than 20 minutes.
