RPMs not dropping between shifts?!?!
After my auto -> manual swap, for some reason the RPMs are not droppping down when I push the clutch in to shift. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
I did not change the computer or PROM when I did the swap, I left the 4 prong connection and the other little on that went into the auto hang open, and I left the black and the orange/black wires in the console open too. Do I have to do anything with these wires?
My car is an 87 v6
Can anyone help me out?

The connector that plugged into the automatic transmission was for the torque converter lockup; the computer completes the circuit, but I don't think a disconnected lockup wire would cause any engine RPM problems.
If my memory serves me correctly, the wires in the console were for the backup lights. I don't remember the colors off-hand.
Can you even drive the car? It sounds mechanical... like the clutch isn't disengaging or something. If the engine is running, then it's getting air through the intake. The only thing the computer can do to affect air intake is with the IAC motor, but I doubt that it can let THAT much air in.
Sticking throttle cable?

when i did my auto the 5 speed swap i had the same problem, it was because the throttle return spring by itselt wasnt strong enough to pull the throttle back, but with the assistance of the kickdown cable it use to return just fine.

i added a second spring, 2 throttle return springs never hurts, with 2 you dont have to worry about it breaking at wot and having the throttle get stuck wide open
