I"d think low 14s w/ an auto, maybe high 13s if it's a stick.

I'am not a real expert on all of this stuff yet but I do believe that high 13's and even low 14's may be a little wisfull thinking espcialy with those gears. I would be looking more for high 14's or low 15's. I have a Vortec equipped 350 with some other goodies on it and 3.73 gears and my best time is 13.93 at 97 mph. With the old 3.08 gears the best I could get was in the 14.30's and that is with BFG drag radials. You need to get to the track and check it out it's the only real way to find out. Good luck and go fast!!! NORT

maybe 14's with a well tuned hei the gears are killing you step up to at least 3.23 or 3.42's would be optimum! with 3.42 you should should hit about 13.5 or so! put a hotter ignition on it the stock h.e.i. setup completly dies about 4500rpm's with the gears and ignition you could possibly hit a little faster but thats about the limit!

Well, at sea level, my car runs low 14s without the LT4 Hot Cam I just installed, so you're probably in the mid to uipper 14s.

what does a stock 5.7 roc do in the quarter? With the mods you have and gear ratio you have might have shaved close to one second. For 500 dollars you can buy nitro kit 100-150 hp if done right nice complement to the 1/4 mile, put in 3.73's and other light mods you will be low 13's maybe upper 12's. not bad

Well, right now the only thing that is keeping me from getting a set of 3:73 gears, is that for some reason my OD doesn't work, anyone have any ideas.

Check to make sure you have a 700R tranny first.
If so, then someone may have tried to do a shift kit themselves and goofed on which valve was which. A tranny shop should be able to pull your valve-body and straighten out your OD shift.

Another thing, rear gears are way over-rated. You will get much more performance gain by getting a Vigilante torque converter than you could possibly get from a gear swap, plus none of the PITA side effects.

13.5 is very optomistic. I say mid - low 14's

------------------
91 RS W/carbed 350, Vortec heads, performer rpm, Comp cams Xtreme energy 224/230 duration and .477/.480 lift. BFG Drag radials. 3.42 posi,Corvette servoed 700r4, 3000 stallconverter. Edelbrock TES, 3inch cat, flowmaster with single 2.5 inch exit.
Best time yet to come

He has less than 250HP. They rate that engine on a dyno stand with open Headers, maybe race mufflers and an open air element and like a 650cfm HOlley. He doesn't even list headers as a mod or an aftermarket carb(he may have one I don't know) But with 8to 1 compression, stock manifolds, If he has a modified TPI unit then yes maybe high 14's at about 90-93mph. I don't know if Iroc's only came TPI or not. Was it an LG4 car to begin with? List more details. Personally I think depending on your exhaust and induction mods you could run anywhere from 14.6-15.6 at 86-93mph. With stock manifolds and stock induction and stock chip or carb whatever you have it won't run that great, not bad but not great either.

yes, i have edlebrock shortie headers, but with 2 1/2 in exhaust, I will eventually get 3 inch., the motor is rated w/ headers, open exhaust, q-jet carb and cast iron intake, that is from the factory,

Yeah I know it is a 700r4, how much would a shop charge to check it out.
