Summit's oem 6 3/4 balancer okay to use with 350?

I have a goodwrench replacment 350, the balancer was like 65 bucks it should do the job right? the motor will never go beyond 5,000 rpm, if it ever gets that high.

if its an OEM replacement than it should be fine to about 5800 rpm. After that dont press your luck.

As long as you dont go over 5000 rpm,you will be ok.I am sure you will not have a problem even if you do go over 5000,as long as it isnt an everyday occurence. The smaller balancer will help the motor rev a little quicker,if it is even noticeable,it is less rotational mass.I would suggest getting a new timing tab to go with the balancer(if you havent already)so that you can time the car correctly.Hope this helps you out.

I got one of those pro form covers that has all the marks on it and a chrome timing tab.

The replacement 350 already has the correct timing tab unless you put on your old rusty timing cover (!?!?!?!?). Getting it from Summit or Autozone doesn't matter. I was going to go the Summit way but OEM quality pretty much translates to cheap so I figure I'll have the same luck with either place. Just make sure you get the one @ 2 o'clock from the people at Autozone. I ordered one @ 12 o'clock (stock replacement) because I forgot for that the new one is at 2 o'clock....however they gave me one timed at 2 o'clock which makes me worry if I was going to put this on a stock L69....(hehe, finally their screw up worked for me!)
