To Buy or not to buy?
I already have a 1986 Trans Am, and I was offered a 1987 GTA today for around $1500, it doesn't have the tpi anymore, it has a rebuilt 350 with an edelbrock 650 and performer aluminum intake, has lots of torque and power, has a dent in the rear quarter panel, but can be fixed. also has 3.73 posi rearend, and 4 wheel disc brakes, and new tires
My intent would be to put a semi-radical cam in it and then go from there and make it bad. is it worth it????????

Just based on what you said...I would grab it up and use it for racing. Carbs are better suited for that and not to mention you have discs all around with a 3.73 posi. Oh yeah! I think it is worth it.

The car is an automatic, like the one I already have. I'm trying to get him to throw in an aftermarket performance distributor, the worst part of the car, other than needing cleaned up, is the bent quarter panel on it, but i think the car is something that I can work with
it has plenty of power now and the potential for alot more, it can run with a new z now, and that is with stock exhaust manifolds, stock cam, and stock wires, so with a few changes it can make more power and that is what we all want

To me, it's worth it. If I had $1500 and wanted a project car, I'd deffinately get it. Now, I don't have a lot of money, but $1500 doesn't sound like a lot for a thirdgen, especially if it's hanging with new Zs. Get it dude, before someone else does:rockon:
