Any opinions on Motorvac cleaning system?
Anyone ever had their car injectors cleaned using this motorvac thing? The mechanic said it works wonders to restore injectors. My car has 230,000km and I figure it wouldn't hurt to clean 'em out a bit. Only thing is, mechanic quoted about $160 bucks to do it.

I have used the motorvac at my school and it does work really well. You would definitly be able to tell a difference in the way the car runs afterwards.

I had it done at 18,200 miles on my T/A. It still didn't run right. One season, a bunch of frustration, and about 2,000 miles later I pulled the injectors and sent them to Cruisin' Pergrmance.
I must have had a bad experience with the MotorVac process, since the only thing it apparently cleaned was my wallet. Rich got my injectors cleaned, spraying correctly, and flow-matched. With gaskets and other parts, it was still cheaper (but more labor intensive) to remove and clean them.

One ounce per 10-gals gas at every fill-up. Adds about $.04/gal, keeps them clean constantly.
You'll have to go through 4000 gals of gas to spend the $160.
