weird noise when its cold out
So im stuck drivin my car this winter for work reasons at school in iowa. this is the first winter my '83s ever been drivin in winter weather and its been acting kinda weird. When ever its reallly cold out it makes a noise that sounds like its coming from my drivers side quarterpanel....maybe a foot in front of it. it sounds like it is something in the wheel well maybe. the noise sounds like an animal is stuck to my tire. its a thumping noise that goes faster as the car goes faster. it goes away if i drive for about 30 min and the car gets warmer....any help on this would be great. sorry for the horrible explanation but its really hard to explain.

Try swapping that tire with one of the others and see if the sound persists. My moms car does this and it;s just wear on the tire. I'd try the above and if that doesn;t work, then I'd focus on other parts of the steering and susp. Remember, metal can carry sound very well, so it may not be exactly where you think.
