Reeks of Gasoline
Okay, techies, figure this out for me, please!! I am running a basic 350 with a non cc quadrajet on a performer manifold, stock heads with hedman headers to a y-pipe and 2 1/2 inch single exhaust. Of course, since the temps dipped to the single digits here, I've got an annoying exhaust leak that I'm not too excited to work on until it warms up, not that this is the problem, but could be. anyway, for a few days now I've been smelling gasoline very strongly after running the car. I've checked all the lines and fittings in the engine compartment, and everything is clean and dry, and I can see no signs of leaks under the vehicle from the fuel tank up to the engine compartment. I was just wondering if my carb is giving me problems and dumping more fuel into the engine than it can burn and it's coming out the exhaust? Any ideas or suggestions for me would be appreciated!
