If more displacement didnt make more power and if any of this small-stroke nonsense was true, racing classes wouldnt set a maximum displacement limit, but a minimum stroke limit.

Yeah i'm familiar with that race. Thanks for the link, made it easy to verify that the record was in fact well under your pie in the sky 255 goal. And if you don't understand that it will take into 4 digits of HP to run that kind of MPH, i am pretty sure you're still racing in one of the peanut classes, if you even really have a car at all.
