87 LG4 OEM EGR valve part #
I'm swapping out my TBI intake for a carb intake and I was wondering what the oem part # was for the EGR valve. I had to purchase a new EGR valve from Autozone and it comes with all these washers for various models. I just was wondering what the OEM part number (stamped on the top of the saucer) was so that I could cross reference them.
Thanks

That's what I did, except the Valve they gave me was a universal one. Depending on which EGR you had originally, they supply you with restrictor washers, so I need to know which washer to use. I'd prefer an 87' because of the centerbolt changeover

my egr valve just went up a few weeks ago. i bought mine from autozone as well. i cant remember the OEM number off the top of my head, when they asked i just looked at the numbers they had and picked one. it turned out to be right...when i got my new EGR i had a few washers that came with it. i ended up not putting a washer on the valve, just bolted it right up and it works fine. i have an 87 iroc.

If the EGR valve washer is just a "restrictor", like the ones I have done, then always start with the one that has the smallest hole in it. You can always work up from there. I have found that the different sized restrictors don't seem to make a huge difference anyway.

yes, they are restrictors...the EGR i had came with 8 different washers with numbers on them. the washer the directions call for was #25 but when i went to put it on i noticed there was no change in the restriction of the hole. so i just bolted it up.
