I got a 5140 400 crank from them, but I never used it because I ran out of money and had to sell off my motor parts.

I talked to them and they said they get the crank castings from overseas and finish them at their shop or whatever. They said they came from the same place that Scat stuff did.

welll i emailed him and heres the reply i recieved.

Mr Dude, thanks for the interest in our crankshafts,
we have been in business for 22years in the Detroit
area, i have been selling imported performance cranks
for the last 4 years. I buy them direct from a broker
in Hong Kong and they are delivered my shop. I have
observed a quantum leap in quality over the last 2
years. The units that we get are very high quality,
they are all CNC gound to exact tolorence, micro
polished to a finish of between 3-5Ra. They come
induction hardened to approx 53 on the rockwell scale.
Check out our feedback for some comments from our
clients, or visit our web site www.ecranks.com. Be
assured that we deal only in high quality products. We
guarantee the crankshaft to meet oem specifications on
journal diameter. If you would like to call and talk
to me personally feel free to call 1-866-858-2683
mon-fri 9-5 est. Thank you again for your interest in
our products.
Mike

his feedback is 100% and while i realize that the people wont know the crank i **** until it breaks, of the few i decided to email, none of them have had any probs with it....

i guess next paycheck, im getting a 4" stroke crank.....

muahahahaha

so much for that 406 i was building.

does your block have the clearance for a 4" crank. Something to consider before you buy. A Hong Kong crank for american muscle...way too scary for me

Scat, Eagle, Cat, Crowler = Hong Kong.

The confusing part about this crankshaft business is that an Ohio crankshaft is supposedly American made and can be had for less than $500. That smells awful fishy...

Crowler
Who?

Do you mean Crower?

If so, I think you're mistaken. http://www.crower.com/pdf/165-180.pdf

Nope I meant Prowler.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

For some reason, I always confuse them with Crower and end up saying "crowler".

Oh... that's a new one on me.... I guess I don't go bottom-feeding enough, to have come across that one yet.

Lots of chinesium flooding the market these days.

Talk about one guy raggin' another...

I just got off the phone with a guy from Cola. In addition to saying that a 400 crank with a 3.75 stroke and a 6 inch rod is a special piece that requires $850 he said Ohio Cranks' stuff is all forged in China, AND that he would accuse them of that to their face. He even alleges that some of Callies stuff is imported.

The business is getting smaller for 'mericans all the time...
