TPI conversion -vs- Whipple Super Charged TBI

What would be your choice in this situation:

5.7L TBI engine- soon to have new Pro Topline Iron Lightning heads, high-flow exhaust w/headers, and an appropriate cam for low to mid range torque.

After the above improvements, would you choose to supercharge it with the Whipple and a new chip -OR- do a TPI conversion?

I already have a nice TPI setup ready to go, but I would still need to have the wiring harness converted from TBI to TPI and new ECM. And I also would want to have the injectors cleaned and flow-matched. But I could sell the TPI and use that cash+ the savings of what it would cost me to complete the conversion and put the money toward the Whipple...and probably a custom chip.

Any thoughts/opinions? I'd also be curious to know the performance difference of the 2 scenarios. BTW, this question is in regards to my truck, if that matters.

thanks and take care,

Jason G in Amarillo, Tx

supercharger.

because the TPI sucks to start with. esp on a 350...

the major prob with TBI is that it doesnt flow very well... but for a draw thru supercharger, it shouldnt be that bad...

i would do the whipple thing... its a proven combo, you can buy a kit for it... and if you feel like modding it later, you can put a 454/aftermarket TBI on it and have it make more power.

id rather have a supercharged TBI then a stock TPI

edit: i had 305 instead of 350... whoops
