Advanced Timing Advantages

I just read a post that Mad-Mic just made about advanceing his timing and what changes it made. I've always had that idea but im not educated in that area. How do you advance the timing on a electronically controlled car? My best friend has good access to 114 octane gas and i can get a good deal on it. If i use a 10/90% mix with that and the 93 octane that i always use, will advancing my timing hurt my car even if have no detonation?
I have a 91' GTA LB9 700R4 w/no cat, flows, K&N, TB Bypass, EGR Delete and a 160* stat.

I already posted this in the TPI forum and got no response.

If your engine is advanced, sure it will more than likely run GREAT, fast pick-up, instant throttle response, but keep in mind how hard it is on your crank, piston/piston rods, cam, everything internal is working harder. The pistons are spitting n sucking in gas fast as the plug fires it, throwing the piston back down n releasing the exhaust waste out the valve chamber, all this in the firing order to every 8 cylinders. All the work at a rapid rate/timing will cause you to probably spin a bearing, bust a rod, lifter ticks are known for engines that are to advanced as well as many other "bad" things.

Just don't get crazy even if you have a higher octane, your engine is still working overtime to complete the firing process. Like a human who runs forever at a fast rate, he/she will tire n collasp =]
