Tad of surface rust on cam journals

Tad of surface rust on cam journals

Ordered the 219 cam and when it cam in there is some surface rust on the journals. Can I use like an sos pad to clean it off or somehting else?> Thanks

Hey mkos i met u on the power tour in miss. I would coat it in light machine oil clean as much as possible or take a liqiid or gel metal polish. sos to abrasive . or let a machinist polish it.

hmmmmmmmmm Let me think. ............... oh thats right I remember now. Ok i'll have to try that. I cant wait for the tour next year. I'm all pumped up for it already lol.

lot of lubricant and crocus cloth would also do a good job. if it's light you may get by just installing it and let the lifters do the cleaning
