After car sits it takes a while to start...
Hopefully this will be the very first thing i fix EVER...
My 84 2.4 5 speed has trouble starting after it sits even just over night. After its started once it has no problem starting again right away. I thought possibly there was a leak and i was loosing air pressure? Any advice? i really have no idea where to start...
Thanks a ton!

Air pressure? Fuel, I'd believe.
This is a carb, right? 1st thought is the fuel is draining out of the fuel bowl as the car sits. It could either be syphoning back to the tank, in which case a fuel filter with a check valve built into it could help. Or, it's leaking out by some other means.
Or, it could be that your choke isn't functioning. May not be a problem when restarting because it hasn't cooled off completely yet. Does pumping the accelerator help any when trying to start it cold?

Probably Gray Davis or the 9th Circuit Court's fault.
Next time it's sat for as long as it used to give you trouble, don't do anything until you open the hood and take off the air cleaner cover. Open the throttle a little bit and watch the choke butterfly to see if it closes. If not, most likely that's your issue.
If it does close, hold it open by hand and open the throttle while looking down the carb throat. Watch for a stream of gas while you operate the throttle. If nothing there, then the fuel bowl is draining one way or another.
