Read if you want to save big money on GM parts....NOT A PLUG!!!

I stumbled onto a site: www.gmpartsdirect.com
which is for a company dealer called Flow Chevrolet. They've got the lowest prices I've found yet (trust me..I've searched). Just do a search by part number and it will give you the price. Some examples:

12489371 Ram-Jet Manifold 367.50
17113520 L31 TB for Ram-Jet 154.50
12363902 Hurst Shifter Kit w/Leather "H" **** 181.30

Just Thought everybody may want to know this.

P.S. Can anyone (PLEASE) e-mail me or at least post a list of the part numbers for the rest of the Ram-Jet 350 Induction system? All I have is the manifold and TB. Thanks. Draino

Yeah, I ordered my new transmission from them this summer, over $400 cheaper than anywhere else. However, they stick it to you on shipping. They have a minimum shipping cost of 8% (I think) of the price of the part. It ended up being $250 for the tranny. So make sure you add up how much you pay for the shipping in the end, it adds up quick.

How did you find parts for cars older than '94?

Ah, ok Tom. The way their website was set up it looked like they only carried parts for newer models, which I thought was a bit strange...

Thanks!

You can also do what I did, call up your local dealership and have them find the part number for you. Then go to the site and click on the link at the bottom of the page for ordering by part number. Works great.

The few things I looked at were the same price as SDPC and atleast they support this board. I am buying my vortec heads from them (SDPC).

I guess you'd really have to compare item-by-item. I've purchased LT1 performance parts from SDPC cheaper. The LT4 GMPP timing set, bearings, aftermarket cam (Comp), and other parts were priced lowest at SDPC, and the shipping was priced at normal UPS rates, not a percentage of the product price. Some other parts were not a super-discount bargain, but not overpriced, so ordering from one source and saving on shipping was best for me.

It's like anything else - you have to shop around before opening the wallet. And if you call SDPC and ask about prices, you might be surprized that prices on some parts can be "flexible". My local dealer works that way, and I'd guess asking wouldn't do any damage.

Those prices are awesome! The shipping is stupid though! I can't imagine spending that much on shipping! The shipping on the fast burn heads would almost pay for the LT4 HOT cam that I'll be buying with them! I would look at buying from them if the shipping was better! Until then, I'll keep going to my local dealer!
