I thought it was a fuel problem at first, but there seems to be plenty of power and the engine doesn't start to sputter and die under load, just misses. The engine just starts missing when it is under load(accelerating) at around 2500 to 3000 rpms. I have an accel performance HEI distributor, about 2 years old. New plugs and wires and timing is set correctly. Cap and rotor is good to. Anyone have any ideas. Only about 7,000 mi on the engine and usually runs excellent. Still idles good to.

Whatever coil comes with an Accel HEI distributor. Vaccum advance. Used to rev to 6500 no problem. Turn key once and fire up. I use ACDelco Rapid Fire Plugs .42 gap (which works fine usually, 8mm accell spiral core wires, new accel cap and rotor.

have not tested any resistance. I did swap in a cheapie discount autoparts hei coil to see what happened. ran like s@#$. Thought it was fuel starvation/air in the fuel lines at first, but seems ok on fuel now. Pressure gauge broke the other day. Carb has no problems.
