Smog Pump

If I was to remove my smog pump would that effect the computer at all?
All the smog pump does is add air to the exhaust CORRECT?
So Im not sure if it would effect the way my car runs at all?

No, your car will run fine. You can remove all the emission devices on thirdgen's and not even throw a trouble code. I had all the stuff removed on my 305 TBI and it ran fine. No codes either. Now I don't have a computer in my car so it doesn't matter.

no worries. it won't affect anything besides emissions. if you don't need your car to pass emissions...pull it outta there. It's pretty easy to do. But you will probably need a new belt. I put an underdrive pulley on at the same time so i didn't need a new belt.
