Well pulled the supposed L42 engine and guess what

Well pulled the supposed L42 (yea big whoop) Corvette engine from my friends car today. Mixed news I suppose. Parts of the engine did come from a Corvette, water pump, intake, brackets LM PSP. Whiped out the cleaner to ID the block for sure and low and behold henco en mexico! No liters stamped either and the Mortec printout I had at work didnt show that casting ### so pulled the head since they were comming off anyway see. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=199310
It is a 350 and besides the amount of crud on the outside the inside looks very clean, no metal ridge just the typical carbon on from the cheap pistons GM used so that good news. It has the crap heads with small valves so I guess were ahead of the game with everything so far. I guess with the mods in the link above this thing should haul some butt, it wasent too bad as it was but theres always room for more.
