Which 383 kit?
Just wanting some input on who puts out good 383 kits. I am looking for balancing included, with rods, new crank (versus reground), pistons, etc. I know of www.enginekits.com but don't really know of anybody else for $669 with balancing and everything else they include. Thanks for your input!

Look in SUmmit and Jegs, they sell 383 kits. Also go to flatlanderracing.com. There are many places. Just do a search on the internet for chevy performance.

I bought my stroker kit from enginekits.com (Powerhouse) and had some issues.
Piston skirts hit the counterbalancer weights.
Rep said to grind a little off the counterweights.
So I did.
I got the CR3 rods. They're refurbished stock 5.7" rods with ARP bolts. The heads of the rod bolts didn't clear my cam (LPE 74211).
Wound up having to buy Eagle H-beam rods and since the pistons in the kit were made for press fit wrist pins, they were not useable with the Eagel rods, so couldn't use the pistons either.
Basically, I paid ~$700 for a cast crank, flex-plate, rings, damper, and some gaskets.
Also, had to re-balance everything.
If I was doing it over again, I'd get an Eagle rotating assy.

check www.speedomotive.com
I think they start at $595.00 and go up, on some of the items the shipping and handling is free too.
Good luck
