carbureted engine setup...
this motor will be for a street/strip 86 regal. im using a 350 block with 4 bolt mains and PM rods. id like to do a 12.5-12.99. give me some good combos this!! the gas mileage isnt my top concern, as long as its not under 10mpg in the city. im on a budget, so i cant afford all top peices out on the market. i just want a good setup that will hit taht 12.99 or better, drive on the street and kick some *** at the track. the car will be outfitted with 3.73 gears and a 2004r transmission.

Toss the 3.73 gears in the rear, and go with 3.23's. Add a nice 11" stall speed converter, and modify the stock gears in the 2004R....
Go with a cam that has just 'enough' duration (nothing too radical), with relatively low lift.... as lift can always be made up by increasing rocker arm ratio. Get a nice dual plane manifold, 650 non-cc Edelbrock Quadrajet.... and 12.50's, with 15mpg will surely happen.
But bro, she's a Buick.... just drop in the torque monster 455, and call it a day! You'll be in the 11's, with just over 10mpg...
