Nathan,
I'm hoping that your Comp Cam is a kit, including new valve springs. You may also want to check the guide/retainer clearance very closely. A 268H will have net valve lifts beyond to the limit of stock heads, and beyond the limits of stock springs.
Another thing you may want to check into before you start the project is your head casting numbers. I'm not sure if the later TBI engines still used the swirl-port design, but if they did you gains will be minimal.
In short, gather some more information, plan the job completely, then begin. You may find that you'll be shopping for a pair of used heads to prepare for your new cam and other modifications.
Incidentally, you'll probably want to install screwed rocker studs with that cam and the appropriate springs. You'll also need to verify if the intake is machined for the older or newer style heads. The two middle intake flange bolts on both of your stock heads will be drilled at a 72° angle to the flange instead of a 90° angle like older heads.
