I don't believe that is it. I believe that is the fuel cutoff switch. The oil pressure sending unit is on the rear of the block behind the distributor.

Actually Hank, you're right, but it depends on the year. I forget which years, but the later engines, the oil pressure sender is above the oil filter like in the picture. On the earlier ones, its where you describe. Mine has a plug in your location and the sender is above the oil filter.
