I don't believe that is it. I believe that is the fuel cutoff switch. The oil pressure sending unit is on the rear of the block behind the distributor.

Actually Hank, you're right, but it depends on the year. I forget which years, but the later engines, the oil pressure sender is above the oil filter like in the picture. On the earlier ones, its where you describe. Mine has a plug in your location and the sender is above the oil filter.

Its above the oil filter on my 90.

Looking for a leak? I think I see some fluid up above that, its to the left of the blue box in the pic.
Yes, thats where the sender is on an 88, had one just like that with the sandwich oil cooler and all.

That's not an oil leak... it's been cleaned with Armorall...
