Anyone using Water Wetter with the mix of 50/50 water and antifreeze ?

I wanna add water wetter into my raditor. But since the winter is around the corner, I need to keep some antifreeze. Do they work together, or does water wetter work at all ?

The water wetter works great with a 50/50 antifreeze mix. It will work better with straight water, but straight water will cool better than 50/50 antifreeze anyway.

Ummm, I thought anti-freeze was also an anti-boil formula, as well... supposed to keep it running cooler than just straight water. What is this water wetter stuff? I read about it somewhere else, but forgot it just as quick...

Ive used it in many kinds of cars with good results, works great in Dads old flathead caddy. It decreasesm the cohesive properties of the water molecules (something like that, chemistry classes were a long time ago!). Basically it causes the water to "sheet" insead of forming droplets, which increases the surface contact with the engine and radiator therefore increasing the heat transfer. Dont expect this or any other additive to cause a dramitic drop in temp, but they will take the edge off.

Water has the ability to absorb more heat then a 50/50 mix. Antifreeze also changes the freezing/boiling point of pure water too. It also helps with corrosion too.

Water wetter can be bought through Jegs.
