My camaro would start right up when cold but would not even crank after reaching normal operating temp. I had replaced the ignition module and my cap and rotor were about 1 yr old. I was hoping my starter was still good. I thought to wrap/shiled it which probably woulda worked, but insatead I opted for the PAINLESS " hot shot " starter solenoid amp booster. Finished the install and took it for a long hot drive and presto, problem fixed. If you have a hot start problem i would suggest a heat shield or wrapping starter or the hot shot from painless all available from jegs. I was a bit scared with the electrical part of it , but it is simple and straight foward. just make sure to get a good ground and watch wire / headder clearance.
