heads, cam, or carb?

i have a 350, and a budget build-up

its a stock bottom end, with a cheap summit-1103 cam(.442/.465 lift, 214/224 duration), weiand stealth intake, and holley 750dp. i have #370 casting heads(mortec says "over the counter, 64cc, straight or angle plug"), they are ported and polished with 1.94/1.5 valves. i have 1 5/8 shorty headers, and a stock 305 i-pipe

i think that the carb is way to big for my engine, the engine runs super rich at WOT.

i also think the stock 305 i-pipe is extremly restrictive.

is my thinking right? are my heads any good? what should i change first? i have a brand new comp 270H cam, would this make any more power? I finally got some money saved up, so i can start working with the engine now

A 550 CFM mechanical secondary or 600 CFM vacuum secondary carb would be more appropriate on that engine.

You could probably tune the 750 to run better with it, but the metering is likely already sized for a larger displacement engine.

Now how do you know that? I have a 350 and a 600 Edelbrock and I'm pretty sure that the carb is killing the top end on the engine. He has a 350 with heads that probably flow less and a smaller cam but you are suggesting a smaller carb than I am running? I am soon to be carb shopping and still don't know what brand or size.
