OK, this has happened twice now in the last week and a half.

First time-
It was first thing in the morning and it was pretty cool (been dipping into the 40's at night for the first time this year, its usually very warm in this area..). I was going to school, so it had been resting all night. I go to turn the key, usually when cold it fires right up very strong, and it sounds like it starts to and then nothing. So I'm like wtf?? I try again and same thing, then i can get it to start for about 1 second and it immeadiatly dies after, i try again and again, same thing happens if i give it some gas after start up, it refuses to stay running. I keep trying and then it starts fine, and idles like usual, I let it warm up and drive off scratching my head.

Second time-
About an hour ago. It was real cool out and been sitting for about 2 and a half hours, basically the same exact situation as I described above repeats itself.

Any ideas?

Next time it happens check to see if the fuel pump is running, thats what mine was doing just before the pump **** the bed.

 

yes, i believe i listened for it the first time, and it was going.
